NBN Speed Guide: NBN 25, 50, 100, 500, 750 and 1000
Choose an NBN speed tier by counting simultaneous activity rather than following the largest number. Streaming, calls, downloads and cloud backups can overlap.

Download speed is not everything
Typical evening speed, upload speed, latency and Wi-Fi quality all matter. Video calls and cloud backups can be affected by upload capacity, while poor router placement can make a fast plan feel slow.
Buy enough headroom
The best-value tier is normally the lowest one that comfortably supports the household at its busiest time.
